Default Out of Print TV DVDs

In a previous thread I was shocked to see that Here Comes The Bride's first season is quite expensive since it is out of print. Today I went looking for The Rifleman on DVD and was upset to see it too is out of print. Some of those sets are over $500 new, holy crap!
The Rifleman, Boxed Set 1 Starring Chuck Connors, Johnny Crawford, Paul Fix and Bill Quinn (Feb 6, 2002)
The Rifleman, Boxed Set 2 (Vols. 5-8) Starring Chuck Connors, Johnny Crawford, Paul Fix and Bill Quinn (Jan 29, 2002)
The Rifleman Boxed Set 3 Starring Johnny Crawford and Paul Fix (Feb 22, 2005)
The Rifleman Box Set Collection 4 Starring Johnny Crawford and Paul Fix (May 31, 2005)
What are some other TV DVD sets that are out of print? Let's see if we can find the most expensive one and just hope we have it if we want it.

The "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" DVDs are all out of print now.

Each of the 7 seasons go for avg. $150.00 on Amazon, so if you want all of the seasons now you have to spend over $1,000.

Another one I know of that's out of print is Clerks: The Animated Series.

That goes for avg. $50.00 on Amazon (new) now.

Filmation's Ark II is fetching a pretty penny on Amazon, The Filmation Sci-Fi Box Set, which contains Ark II and two other Series, is actually Cheaper than the Stand-Alone series mentioned above.

The 1967 Spiderman also fetches a premium price.

They're re-releasing them on DVD. Season 1 comes out 5/28.

Again, they are Canadian releases but are Region 1.

Luckily I've been able to get the out-of-print DVDs that I want at pretty reasonable prices but there are still a few that I haven't got. I still want: Charles in Charge seasons 4 & 5, Once and Again season 2, Project ALF, and Titus seasons 1-2 & 3.

Charles in Charge seasons 4 & 5 are going to be near impossible to get at a reasonable price. I'm not going to pay $500 for a DVD set of only one season.

Project: ALF can be found on DVD on Amazon for under $30 in the used dealers section- there's one now that's in "like new" state for $24.00
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listi...condition=used

I didn't realize this DVD was selling for so much- I got a copy on DVD some years ago and I think it's worth getting if you're an ALF fan- I've watched it many times and find it hilarious.

A cheaper alternative might be buying them from Amazon Instant Video, while not the DVD's at least the quality is good.

I prefer Physical Media as well that's why I purchase them and Burn them to DVD at $14.99 for Season 4. It was well worth it.
