Fans: Madonna Pretends to Shoot Audience at Denver Show

Posted on: 10:52 am, October 19, 2012, by Jessica Bates, updated on: 10:55am, October 19, 2012

By Will Holden
Denver, CO (KDVR) -- Twitter was abuzz Friday morning with disappointed Madonna fans after they say Madonna showed up to her Denver concert Thursday night over two hours late and opened with a song about murder.

As if that weren’t enough, fans say she came on stage in a crowded Pepsi Center with fake guns and pretended to shoot the audience in a city where many wounds are still fresh following the Aurora theater tragedy in late July.

Denver radio personality Peter Burns was at the show and first to break the news that the pop signer was over an hour late on his Twitter account.

Not cool Madonna. She really seems to be grasping at straws lately.

Yeah, this insistence on being politically edgy isn't really helping her and this latest goof makes MIA's flipping the bird at the Superbowl (which Madonna herself criticized) look like nothing. She can't really do the grinding around on beds anymore so I guess this is her way of still trying to shock the audience. She's getting too old for this stuff.

I have a friend who lives in the Denver area, and her response was, "Nice one, Madge".

Seriously, what was Madonna thinking?!

Really distasteful. After the theater shootings you would think she would have more common sense then that.

Oh No

Looks like Elton John IS right about Madonna...as well as Kenny McCormick from "South Park"!

She SHOULD just let go...

I guess she figures my career is in the toliet now, let's think of something shocking to put me back in the news.

Over 2 hours late?? We saw her in Miami a few years back, not a huge fan but I wanted to see her just once just to see her. She didn't have an opening act, the show was to start at 7:30, she didn't get on stage until after 10. Really?? What could you possibly be doing to justify going on stage so late?? Sorry but any musical act who has no respect for their fans and makes them wait that long(*ahem Axl Rose*) is not worth my time. One of my 10 top worst concerts.

I would've been demanding a refund - not just for the "shooting" but for being so late!! That is so unprofessional and inexcusable.

I guess since she hardly has any fans anymore she thought she would get new ones on account of this stunt...

Her and Cher should just disappear.
