Music The Rolling Stones Announce New Tour

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dECLLKyfjm0

Ladies and Gentlemen they are back! The most eagerly anticipated concerts of 2012 are announced today as the greatest rock 'n' roll band, The Rolling Stones, confirm their long awaited return to the stage with four spectacular arena shows in London and New York. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood at last revealed their return to live work exclusively via this video.

As the crowning glory of their on-going 50th anniversary celebrations, the rock icons will play to thousands of fans at London's O2 Arena on November 25 and 29, and then across the pond to perform at the Prudential Center, Newark, near New York, on December 13 and 15.

See www.RollingStones.com for full ticketing information.

Or, as Jay Leno once called it, "The Can You Cut Our Meat into Smaller Pieces Tour"?

These guys still rock. Also they always outsell acts and bands who are half their age. Good music is ageless and the Stones are proof of that.

Oh, I was just kidding about my comment, Mickey. I agree with you, I mean, damn, Mick still struts it on stage!! For them and any of those bands that are still going at it, more power to them!! Do it while you still can. I much rather see any of the older bands in concert than a whole lot of the no-talent flavor of the month newer acts of today.

I think it is awesome they are still going strong. Maybe in the near future they could star touring Nursing Homes.

Music Rolling Stones Kick off First London Set with Beatles Song

Link

The Rolling Stones opened what could be their farewell tour in London last night with a Beatles song– “I Wanna Be Your Man.” Lest the Beatles vs. Stones arguers forget, the Stones covered the Beatles in their early days before taking off on their own. The Stones show– the first of two at the O2 Arena before venturing here in December–are sold out despite the extremely high prices. And they feature former bandmates Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor, along with guests Jeff Beck and Mary J. Blige. PS Only one song from the post-1981 “Tattoo You” — “Out of Control” from “Bridges to Babylon.” I’d rather hear “Out of Time.” But we’re out of luck, my baby…

Here’s the set list from the opening show:

I Wanna Be Your Man
Get Off Of My Cloud
It’s All Over Now
Paint It Black
Gimme Shelter (with Mary J. Blige)
Wild Horses
All Down The Line
Going Down (with Jeff Beck)
Out Of Control
One More Shot
Doom And Gloom
It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll (with Bill Wyman)
Honky Tonk Women (with Bill Wyman)

Band Intros

Before They Make Me Run
Happy
Midnight Rambler (with Mick Taylor)
Miss You
Start Me Up
Tumbling Dice
Brown Sugar
Sympathy For The Devil

ENCORE
You Can’t Always Get What You Want (with choir)
Jumpin’ Jack Flash
