Are playing on METV now.
I don't think there were any more touching episodes than the adopting Ernie ones. Brave little Ernie getting tossed around. I remember seeing these in 1965, but had long ago forgotten the details. Lol.. Robby's non-stop matchmaking advice..After listening to Robby give a another long winded session on what to say: Steve to Miss Coulter- "Your hair looks really neat" "Mr. Douglass...is it okay if I call you Dad..?" Ernie's such an awesome kid. |

It's a shame that Vera Miles was on relatively few episodes as Miss Coulter. Those were part of a good storyline, with Barry's talent evident even at that very young age. Loved how Charley called Ernie's dog Wilson by the wrong name, "Coolidge" -- he had his presidents mixed up...!
