Last week, we featured the Warner Archive Facebook page in our Follow Me segment, and this week, we have some insight on another rare series sitting in their library which they are seriously considering... provided that they can get through a few hurdles first. When a fan asked about the series Please Don't Eat the Daisies, this was the response provided:
"A wonderful, oft-requested series we certainly hope to bring to DVD. There are a few episodes in both seasons that have music issues, hopefully they will not be too problematic....and we will definitely need to remaster. Not likely to happen for a bit, as there are other series ahead of it in the clearance and remastering queues, but we hope to get to it sooner than later." So, we don't exactly have a yes on the set yet, and it looks like we won't be getting one for quite a while... but at the very least, it looks like this series is at least getting consideration, and fans can still hold on to hope for now. I would buy this show if it came out on DVD. The last time I saw it was on syndicated TV in the early 1970's, so my memory of it is a bit hazy now. But it's a good family sitcom from the mid 1960's, similar in some ways to Hazel except there are more kids.

Didn't USA or WOR carry this show sometime during the mid-late 80's? I had a satellite dish at the time and know I saw it somewhere. This show also holds the distinction of being one of the few sitcoms from the 60's whose entire primary cast is still living.

Encouraging news! Another show I never thought would see "the light of day" on dvd. Never say Never!
I've seen very little of this show. The last I remember of it airing in syndication, was on a local station on Sat. or Sun. afternoons, when I was a kid. Bring on any '60's family sitcom! I would buy it! |

I've never seen the series, but I've seen the movie (I'm bit of a Doris Day fan) wouldn't giving the programme a try.

Yes this was on WWOR. This show was just okay. I would not mind seeing it again though. I'm not sure if if this would be a show that I would buy on DVD or not? Maybe? I remember one critic who described this series as follows:
"Blandness was never done so well" I tend to agree with this statement at least somewhat. |

I remember first seeing this show in morning reruns on WRGB-TV, out of Schenectady, NY, when I was visiting the area with my parents back in 1978. I was living near Nashville, TN, at the time, and sometime later in 1978 WSM-TV there added reruns of the show in its afternoon lineup, along with shows like Bewitched and The Real McCoys. This is long before talk shows & newscasts started eating up most afternoon programming of network affiliates, so there was a good chance of seeing rarely-rerun programs on local broadcast tv.

I've never seen this show but I would buy it. I've only heard good things about it.
Hopefully, when they speak about other projects in the works they're talking about future seasons of "Alice"....and MAYBE---a BIG maybe, "Step by Step". |

I remember the show as a kid and really liked it so it'd be wonderful to see this rolled out. As much as I like the show not sure I'd buy it unless it was a very good price. I remember how I jumped to buy all of The Patty Duke show and two years later it's ALL on Antenna (& was on This TV) two channels I get for free. And I almost bought Leave It To Beaver and I Dream Of Jeannie, which are now on Antenna. I may force myself to wait, especially as I have something like 800-900 DVDs total from what I've bought and burned.
