Well MRPITT, according to Wikipedia Press Your Luck aired on GSN from September 1, 2001 to March 29, 2007.

but they only aired episodes from the "1984-1985" era and yes that included the two Michael Larson episodes which it originally aired as a two hour documentary called "Big Bucks: The Press Your Luck Scandal" in 2003. but later the episodes aired themselves on the network including "The 50 Greatest Game Shows of All Time" in 2006.
(BTW: just in case you want to know which number is on GSN's countdown is #13)

also the year of the episodes GSN had the rights to air at the time are from Feburary 21, 1984 to November 15, 1985.

if you want to take a closer look check out this site here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Press_Your_Luck

*UPDATE*

now I don't know if this is true or not but according to Buzzerblog GSN will start airing episode #001 of Press Your Luck from 1983.

info for that can be found here (proof-wise of course):
http://www.facebook.com/buzzerblog/p...51198447543493

From Buzzerblog:http://buzzerblog.com/2012/10/gsn-ac...-october-15th/

Press Your Luck, which has been absent for some years.will return weekdays starting October 15th at 9:30 AM ET. This will replace the Richard Karn edition of Family Feud.
Press Your Luck will start from the very first episode of the series. episode 001, dating back to September 19, 1983. Some astute viewers will be able to notice subtle differences
between these early episodes and the ones GSN has aired in the past. This is the first time GSN has aired these episodes, so these are all new if you've only seen the reruns
on the network. Peter Tomarkern hosts."

I am the same BarkerisEvil dude on the GSN forums (I decided to post here under my real name, Vahan), and I don't see why you should be concerned about whether this is true or not. Because if you actually look at the updated advanced PDF (Portable Document Format), you'll notice it says "N" by it, which means that GSN has never shown this episode before.

Notice the column that says N/R? It indicates which episodes are new to GSN and which aren't. For all the PYL weekday airings, it clearly says "N" ("N" for "New") besides them. "R" stands for "Repeat".

Hope this explained everything.

well thank you Vahan, I just got a little worried that's all. but to be honest with you. before Buzzerblog announced that GSN will start airing the '83 episodes (for which they should've done in the beginning of 2001 IMO) I though that they will rerun the 1984-1985 package again but since I saw the official schedule from GSN I am now confident that they have learned from their past mistakes and did something right this time in 2012 all we now have to do is wait until monday just to see it ourselves for the very first time.

but I do have two questions for you Vahan:

1.) since we already know that they have the 1983 episodes to be shown soon on Monday does this also mean that they have the early 1984 episodes as well?

2.) I think that after the 83-84 episodes has been rerunned to death for 8 years just like they did with the 84-85 era.
does this mean that we will have to wait after another three-year hiatus until GSN obtains the rights to air episodes from the 1985-1986 era of PYL? (you know, since I'm assuming that they don't have them yet currently so I wouldn't be the least bit suprised at all.)

but thank you for your help with the schedule from Flashgameshows.com for the truth also,I'm not trying to be rude here you didn't have to reupload the news from Buzzerblog since I already did it anyway but thanks nonetheless.
