9. Michael is older and not the millitant midget anymore

10. The Evans get out of the projects


Even though James was missed there was so very enjoyable eps in the post James era.

Even though James was missed there was so very enjoyable eps in the post James era.

Not many serious episodes?? I think that there were more serious episodes after James was killed off.

Well I have to disagree because only the very ending of both eps were serious. Before that it was a regular good times ep.

Big move part 1..,,found out jame died at the end

Big move part 2.....Florida breaks down at the end


So I don't consider them all that serious

Killing off James isn't serious? That was a serious heavy episode. I'll give you the first episode, but part 2 the whole episode was depressing.

I think they handled part 2 well and made the episode still very watchable and not depressing. still lots of laughter and celebration of his life

What parts were funny other then everyone bringing Ham? Throughout the whole episode the kids were depressed, and you could tell that Florida was putting on a front. It was a sad episode.

Florida's energy kept the episode from being sad until the very end

If (god forbid) one of my parents were to pass, I will act a PLUM FOOL. I would have to go into the nut house LOL. Nine months after my grandma had passed away, my mom called me crying, I had to leave work to go over to my parents house because she was in bed crying big gigantic tears.

Plus Thelma was daddy's girl, i don't think it was overacting. Now Bernnadette acting wasn't that great in that episode, so that is what's probably throwing you off.

I think Bernadette was also mourning a bit for John. She is an actress and probably felt the loss of John and used that to help her get into her dark mood of grieving.

I know there were moments where Bernadette really put on the dramatics in the earlier episodes, but this episode was right on target with the subject matter. Remember, Thelma was grieving, but she was also upset at her mother's happy-go-lucky attitude. She could not understand why her mother was not feeling any pain.

I hated how Florida mentioned the African traditions of celebrating the life of the dead yet, when Thelma brought up African traditions in the African romance episodes (Ibe), Florida told her she doesn't care about the past, only the present. I guess Florida forgot her little speech about African traditions to Thelma in this episode.

The part when they are in the bedroom talking to Florida and they are asking her why she is not crying. And then Thelma says

"Daddy is dead and everyone is feeling and you are out there laughing. Mom, what;s WRONG??


She was shaking during that part
