Default 2013 Rock Hall Nominees ARE In!

Here's the bands you can vote in...

Heart
Rush
Paul Butterfield Blues Band
Chic
Deep Purple
Joan Jett
Albert King
Kraftwerk
Marvelettes
Meters
Randy Newman
NWA
Procol Harum
Public Enemy
Rush
Donna Summer

Well...there's no Moody Blues or Chicago...again, but having Procol Harum could give The Moody Blues the next nod.

the idea that:

Heart
Rush
Deep Purple
Joan Jett

weren't already inducted at least a decade ago marginalizes the whole thing, just DISGRACEFUL.

- although it is good to see Rush up there TWICE. (does that increase their chances any?)

One of the many reasons why the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a joke.

that, and they need to look at the NAME of the place again - if they are going to call it the "ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME", then maybe they should focus on bands/music that is ACTUALLY ROCK AND ROLL

- I mean Chic, Donna Summer, Public Enemy, and many other artists either up for consideration or already in may be "hall of fame"-worthy acts, but they aren't really ROCK AND ROLL at all.

Just a stretch, but Joe Walsh's band "Barnstorm" should have also been a nominee.

Even though I think everything about the Hall of Fame is an utter joke, I think its cool they are letting the fans vote.

The Hall of Fame is a joke anymore. I've been working to get Duran Duran inducted (with other people)and the Rock Hall isn't listening to this. Duran Duran has sold more than 90% of the people in the Hall of Fame and has influenced countless of bands (most notably the alternative bands of the 1990's and later). Let's not forget that they changed music videos. However the HOF has never even put them on the list. They are far from the only one. I also love the Cure and Depeche Mode and they haven't been inducted, though the Cure made the list ONCE. Or how about Joy Division? ok maybe they weren't that well known outside of the underground but were influential. Not that I'm a big fan but KISS should be in.

I would add all the bands listed here such as the Monkees, the Doobies, Chicago, Moody Blues, Heart, Joan Jett, Rush, and Deep Purple (and why they have all been inducted yet is a mystery). I personally think it's a disgrace adding artists like NWA because of the fact that form of rap has caused a lot of problems.

Then again let's not forget Black Sabbath was rejected something like 10 times before selected and I think most (or all)would agree they should have gotten in much earlier and that they influenced almost every rock band that followed, whether it was a heavy metal band, punk, or even pop.
