I see the episode idea of having Carl and Florida in the restaurant came from Maude
Watching a episode right now of maude and Walter wants Maude to give the steak back because it wasn't cooked right. But just like Florida, Maude doesn't want to send the steak back to avoid causing a scene
 BTW: The Maude episode is much funnier
