Default The imortal orange juice container

Yeah i noticed it a thousand times and you know i think they used it there for kicks. I think it was a prop to help them focus on their acting. You know, if they forget or if they are about to forget their lines they can walk over to the fridge and grab some orange juice. I wonder what happend to that orange juice container.
And the glasses matched the pitcher.

I didn't notice the glasses matched! Yeah, it would be cool to know what happened to the pitcher! We have a pitcher just like theirs!
I think they probably used the OJ to make it look more natural... so that they seemed more like they were actually living there.

Thumbs up That's right lizzy!

"To make it look like they lived there". I wish i lived there. Let me tell ya.

Any way if i did i think they would have treated me like skippy. I fell sorry for skippy. not only was he rejected on the show, but he was never in the opening credits. He grew with them. Remember when mallory hooked up with nick? And there was that akward episode with skippy and nick fighting over mallory. Well skippy had dibs on her man! He put in the time and effort. He had juice with the family. Yes i know, but i mean he had JUICE!

I love skippy he was the underdog! He never gave up on mallory!

You know, I was just thinking that just a few days ago. They do drink OJ a lot. Do you also notice they frequently grab a cola out of the fridge?

Yep, the Keatons are crazy about orange juice and for those of you who don't know, the Huxtables on The Cosby Show are crazy about apple juice. They don't drink it as much as the Keatons drink OJ, but they sure drink it a lot.

its actually true!! in every episode, at least one keaton drinks some orange juice..actually its usually more than just one of them.
boechsner brought up something i was gonna say, the huxtables do drink a lot of apple juice. usually its cliff(bill cosby) or theo(malcolm-jamal warner). theres a lot of possible reasons for the juice. someone said before that when they might get stuck with their lines, they could grab a glass and take a drink..giving the other person time to talk. something someone else mentioned was that maybe the creators wanted it to seem like a natural family, and naturally people drink juice a lot. who knows, i only know i want some juice, NOW!

Lightbulb

I've never really noticed it before, but I bet I will now. Thanks, guys.

Here's my take on it. They drank alot of orange juice because it gave characters a reason to come into the kitchen to deliver their lines. Rather than having them just walk in convieniently at the right time to give their wisdom or deliver a joke, they had them go get orange juice. It gives the appearance that they're more like real, normal people, and not staged. Make sense?
It would look odd if Mallory and Jennifer were talking about something, then Alex just comes into the room, delivers a joke pertaining to their discussion, then walks out again.

Now i'm not saying i am gonna fill the bathtub with this stuff but i think i have a problem! I'm drinking loads of this stuff! And i'm taking it to work and giving it away to everybody i see. They think i'm nuts. I got to get help! I watched the godfather on the tube the other night and i saw the scene where Vito Corleone dies with an orange peel in his mouth... and i nearly went Mad!

Michael: There's nothing wrong with drinking lots of orange juice. But, if you feel you're becoming compulsive in your consumption of it, try turning yourself on to another kind of juice.
Drinking too much acidic juices like orange juice can be bad if you drink so much you burn off your taste buds and your mouth feels raw. I know this from experience. It sucks. Just don't let it get that bad.
