After selling my first 4 season sets, today I picked up Charlies Angels The Complete Series. I got home and realized Sony released this set in the cheapest way they possibly could! I opened it up and found 2 stacks of discs stacked up on a plastic spool. Theres nothing protecting the discs from getting scratched!
I thought it would be the 5 seasons in the slim cases like season 5 was released. I looked forward to replacing the huge bulky seasons 1 & 2, and have every season uniform with the outer case. Personally, I would have rather paid another 10 dollars for better quality packaging. Way to go SONY, proving once again you're the most un-consumer friendly company of all! ![]() This set saves on shelf space, but those of you that have the first 4 seasons, you may want to opt to keep them and wait for season 5 to come out separately, and avoid this flimsy complete series set. |

To me there was no real reason to get the complete series set due to it not having any new special features.
I'm waiting for the solo 5th season release. |

You all may need to wait awhile for a season 5 set. Knowing Sony's history of "TV on DVD" releases it may be a long long long wait....

Sony should have just gone and released season 5 and re-released seasons 1 & 2, with the slim cases to be uniform with seasons 3 & 4. There was no need for a complete box set, especially a shabby cardboard case with 2 plastic spindles.
Sony DOES do one thing RIGHT: what they DO release, they're not guilty of the split volume season sets of shows, and they don't seem to use syndicated episodes, like other companies have done. My only problem with Sony, is they just stop releasing in the middle of the series or release just one season, leaving us to just hope Shout! Factory will pick them up. |

just bought the complete series for 8 dollars on Amazon....I've got to say that season 5 is flawless. It looks like it has been remastered. I am watching the episode on my blue ray player. I really didnt want to get the dvd-r's WB was going to release in a few weeks for probably 3 times the price I paid for the whole series. I know some may be pressed. The packing of the dvds isnt that bad. I thought it would be worse but it is ok.

You got the series for just $8.00? I didn't see that on Amazon. Could I have a link, please?

It probably was a 1-day sale.

But like Markway says there are deals so you have to be visiting the site everday and during most of day to pick up some good deals on dvds. The new Dallas dvd was at 27 dollars for the longest time then went up to 29 dollars and then they dropped it to 24 bucks and i ordered it. |
