Post I know it's still premature but what 90's show should be on Nick at N/TV Land

i know that it is very prematuere, since the 90's just ended and nick at nite has just started to regonize the 80's series.. but i was wondering what shows from the 90's should be on nick at nite/ tv land int he futuere... my picks are:

Ally mcbeal- ally has left such an indeilable mark on society

picket fences- a classic show if ever there was one.

party of five- one of the best dramsas ever!

mad about you ( except for that horribel finale season.)

the nanny- a total classic sitcom .

Arrow

Picket Fences is on TNN now if Im not mistaken.
I'd say:
The Nanny- it is a classic, even if her voice annoys me
Home Improvement- I love that show even if the later eps werent as good
Seinfeld- While its not one of my faves, it is a classic
hmmm, im not sure what else. There werent that many really good classic 90s shows. But its all better than this new millennium reality television!

Andy: There is no such thing as phone cops!
Johnny: Oh sure. Cover for them!

way too soon, but in 15-20 years, I think we'll see these shows on N@N/TV Land or at least TNN.

Seinfeld
Friends
Mad About You
Wings
Grace Under Fire
Ellen
Dharma And Greg
Everybody Loves Raymond

They won't be able to air shows like Party Of Five or Beverly Hills 91210, because if they won't show facts of life episodes like when Nat loses her virginity or they use cocaine, they would have to like edit out half of the series becuase those WB/UPN shows always deal with sex-related topics. I can't see Ally McBeal on Nick At Nite ever, because the show mentions strong adult topics. Seinfeld, Mad About You, and The Nanny are airing in reruns already! Seinfeld is on Fox and WB. The Nanny shows on UPN in most of the states, along with Mad About You. Cheers is coming to Nick At Nite in 2007 I think. That's on reruns too though. Family Ties starts in September though.

Andrew, you're way off about Cheers. Cheers is coming to N@N this fall, not 2007.

The '90's show I think should be on N@N is NewsRadio. One of the best sitcoms of the decade. A show that should have gotten a lot more recognition. And, even in it's somewhat lamented post-Phil Hartman final season with Jon Lovitz, the show was still one of the funniest sitcoms on the air.

Yes Cheers is slated for this October.
As for 90's shows I just don't see any airing on Nick at Nite or TV Land. None of them I consider classics. As for Ally McBeal on Nick at Nite, that will NEVEr happen, becuase it is a 1 hour show.
Ally McBeal, Buffy, and The Practice are heading to fX cable I heard either this year or next.

THey can't show The Simpsons because of 2 things: one being that the content of the episodes is very adult, and another thing being that The Simpsons is animated and they have never tried that before.

Thumbs down

This thread just reminds me of how many excruciatingly painful shows entered primetime in the 90's. The WB and UPN are networks geared towards nothing but abercrombie and fitch wearing pre-pubescents whose idea of quality television is how cute the main characters are. I've yet to see a show on the WB that isn't built around the main charcter(s)' looks. Charmed, Dawson's Creek, Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, etc., are pure trash. Don't get me started the Fox influx of the vexatious teen dramas back in the early 90's, with crap like Beverly Hills 90210, Models Inc., Melrose Place, etc. Then there's the "office setting" sitcom invasion of the mid 90's, with filth like Suddenly Susan, Spin City, Ally Mcbeal, etc. You gotta love the way these Network execs will shamelessy jump on any trendy bandwagon (this reality tv phase is an excellent example). About the only shows worth watching in the 90's all actually premiered in the 80's; The Wonder Years, Seinfeld, The Simpsons, Married With Children, The Golden Girls, etc.

Well, i think that Felicity is about more than her looks as is popular... i agree with u about 90210, models inc and melrose place and even about suddenly susan ... but the 90's also brought some great shows like Will and Grace and Mad About You and of course... Seinfeild.

ok, i agree that nick at nite probrally won't ever air party of five or ally mcbeal, but i hope that some network willa ir them someday, ecspecially part of five because it was and still is a wonderful show and i and many others miss it terribly. ally is ok, but is way overplayed as it is.
