They were not even intimate yet and Jack was like...."It's my mother's birthday and was wondering if you wanted to come to San Diego with me"

LOL, Jack needed to slow down in that episode and not be so desperate

Jack did act like a love sick puppy for Darlene. It was too silly. Incidentally, this episode was Suzanne Sommers' last full episode.

I know, Jack was acting like he was bringing over his fiancee to meet his mom. It was better in the end that he brought Janet instead.

Yes, I could never figure out why he was so smitten with Darlene at first. I never thought she was that attractive.

The next episode, called Downhill Chaser, featured Laurette Spang as Inga, a ski enthusiast. I would have preferred her over Darlene.

Jack: "I'd love to make you tingle, Ingle....I mean Inga."

I thought Darlene was a lot better looking. To me, Inga looked kinda plain and like any just average type of girl out there.
