Default Did you know Mike and Damon Evans only appeared in 35 episodes each??

According to IMDB Mike Evans only appeared in 35 episodes while Damon Evans only appeared in 34 yet 253 episodes were made!

It almost seems wrong but that means they featured Lionel in about 1 of every 4 episodes which seems about right but it just is a very low number when you first look at it!

No that wasn't the reason, when the Jeffersons first premiered in 1975 Good Times was already in it's second season. It's stated in the Jeffersons book that
he went to Norman Lear and asked how can he get off the show.

And in a 1976 Ebony it's revealed that Mike Evans left the show because his role became too small

It just seems Lionel was in a lot more episodes than just 35 for each Lionel.

I guess that's why Mike Evans felt left out. But later on when they had reunions Mike didn't want to be a part of it and I remember Sherman said "Mike never wanted to be an actor!!"

WOW!!

WOW!!

Well from Sept of 1975 to May of 1979 he was off the show. Then once he returned in Sept of 1979, he was seen a lot that season. But then in 1981 to 1983 his role started to decrease again. And from 1983 to 1985 I think he was only seen once which was the 2 part divorce episode

But it's not like he had anything else going on in his acting career right? Good Times ended in the 70s or it sure looks like it did!

We know how hard it is to get a good role on TV so he should've just stayed with the Jefferons until something better came along which never did!

He made a guest appearance on a drama between 1975 and 1979 and made a guest appearance on the Richard Pryor show in 1977

Yeah, that's why I posted what Sherman said on Hard Copy.

They had a reunion in either the late 90s or early 2000s and Sherman said "Mike never wanted to do acting" because Mike never showed up for the reunion!

WOW! Just wow!

Yeah the reunion of 1997 on the Rolanda Show which had George, Florence, Tom, Louise, and Ralph did not include him.

I saw that online and that was the last major Jeffersons reunion ever? I remember Sherman said he was doing a new show called "Goode Behavior" but it got canned after only 1 season.

I never saw it. Is there a board for that show?

No there are not message boards for any sitcoms that lasted only 1 season. I think it has to be atleast 2 seasons for a show to have a message board.
