I don't think so, even though Q had that hard persona, he had some respect for Moesha and Frank.

He was looking at him like........"I'm going to respect you only because I really like your daughter but you are a true cornball"

Of course, that is what most teenage boys do. They're not trying to be the dads friend. LOL Come On Now

Even as a teenager I was able to look at certain grown men and tell if he was a D*ckhead or not

But that did not have anything to do with Q and Moesha. But there were times you could tell when Frank was not having it.

I just never understood why they had to give her a dorky dad. And he didn't have to be a HIP HOP dad just some regular and cool like

The Dad from Smart Guy

Did you watch the whole series? Frank wasn't really dorky, only when it came to his car dealership and Saturns Lol. Other than that he was pretty normal.

I agree with this! I always said Bernie Mac should have been cast as Frank. He would have been so cool and funny and much more believable.

ITA. Frank was not dorky at all. That was a real man and a real father. Those "buy a saturn" plots make him comically corny but it worked great.

I hated that they ruined Moesha's dad with that awful storyline of him having another child. It went down hill from there and from what I have heard, many of the cast members were not happy either.

The storyline was well done and the actors were great...but my problem is that it didn't belong on Moesha. That assasinated part of Frank's character. He would have never done something like that. They tried to be careful with it but it was not necessary for the shoe. Sheryl Lee Ralph jumped ship as soon her contract was up, I guess. I don't blame her either. She came back recurring in the last season. I know she and Brandy has issues. Brandy apologized for that years later which I thought was great. Dee going to Jamaica long term? That's unreal but the only way they could write out Dee without killing her off. You see how people jump ship when not treated right? I have a strong feeling that Sonja Norwood had something to do with some of those changes. Brandy even fired one of the writer/producer Vida Spears, an individual that has had fantastic credits such as 227 and other shows. If people could only come to a medium of respect, things would be better. Plus, the dramatic finales weren't necessary when shows like Moesha start to show age because you don't know if the show will return the next season and in Mo's case, UPN said "no".

I did not know until recently that SLR and Brandy had issues, I read an interview that Sheryl did and I was shocked. Also the way Moesha ended, pissed me off, that was the worst ending. I guess everyone thought that they were coming back for another season. But still ending it with that cliffhanger sucked. Moesha and Half & Half had the worst endings ever LOL.
