There are so many double meanings in many of the episode and scene titles, and while I get some of them I'm always excited to find the meaning behind another one.
Tonight I was flipping through TV and accidentally went to the wrong channel and landed on PBS. What should be showing but an opera by Wagner entitled "The Ring Cycle." Apparently it was a trilogy and this was the second part entitled "The Valkyrie." Another one I just recently figured out was "Roz's Krantz and Guildenstern are Dead" is a play on words referring to the characters Rosencrantz and Guildenstern from Shakespeare's Hamlet. I should have known that one but I didn't put it together until I was discussing Hamlet with someone about a week ago. Are there any that you know? |

That's cool about the "Ring Cycle" one. Didn't know that! What I have noticed is that some of the earlier episodes were named for Frank Sinatra songs, like "Someone to Watch Over Me," "Martin Does it his Way," and "Come Lie With Me." I'm sure there's probably others too.

I think my favorite episode (or at least the funniest one, IMO) is "Frasier has Spokane". I haven't seen it in ages but I thought it was a hilarious name for an episode. "Back Talk" is one that I stupidly didn't even get the meaning of until I'd seen the episode a bunch of times!
