I was told by a friend that Eve plumb was actually considered for the part of Carrie White in the first Carrie. Is that true? Eve was 16 or 17 at the time and could easily play a High School girl; and she does look like Sissy in a way. But this is the first time I ever Heard this.

I think (and I don't mean to be nitpicky, just thinking out loud) that Eve was actually 18 in 1976 when Carrie came out, but yeah, she could easily have played a teen (given the fact that Spacek was like 26!).
I haven't heard this rumor, but I have to say, it's the neatest one I've heard in a while. I think I'll go research this!

It's not uncommon for a producer to pick an Actor or Actress for a part, but get turned down,
The Blue Lagoon , but when she realized it was going to be R-Rated she turned it down, and Brooke Shields got the part instead. Sometimes I wonder what would a TV Show or Movie would be like if the Star did not turn the offer down.

I wonder if it would have been Eve that turned the part down, or maybe her parents. Given the fact that Carrie had a nude scene in the beginning.

If I could travel back in time The 1980 and 1949 Versions of The Blue Lagoon would be utilized in a "Practical Joke" I would pull off. I would take a Copy of the 1980 Version of this Movie back to 1949, then locate a Theater showing the original version. There, I would SWITCH THE COPIES, and wait outside for the Cops to raid the theater (Bear in mind they didn't have "R" rated movies back then)!
