The Man played by Danny Glover from "A Man In Nell's Room"? who played that football player in season 1?
Mayor Theo in season 3? James Roland in season 3? That man from the "Answering Machine" who was a lawyer in season 4? Nell's first love Good Old Charlie Johnson in season 4? Nell's first Husband Tony seen in both seasons 1 and 5? The foot doctor who hated kids in season 5? That guy Earl who was Nell's Secret Admirer in high school who broke up his marriage in season 6? Prince Gilbert Casa Me Boto from season 6? Am I missing anyone? I just touched upon all the dates Nell had, guys she saw, went out with, drooled over her, or that never ended up with her (all of them didn't, most were never explained or referred to again, especially James Roland). Sure, there were others mentioned that she went out with like the Sparkletts water man in season 5 and the guy she tuned down on Valentine's day in season 5... My question is, of all the guys we saw onscreen with her, which was the best to marry her? Nell deserved to be married before the show closed and to get her big break. It was sad how when the show ended she was still single and she didn't even date in the final season at all. Season 3 she was dating a lot. To me, I think James Roland and Good Old Charlie Johnson were the best for her. She really loved both of them and they never did anything wrong to really upset her or freak her out in such a way she'd never want to see them again. |

Good 'Ole Charlie Johnson became ANNOYING in the New Orleans episode. He kept badgering Nell to marry him when he knew she was preoccupied by the fact that Joey was missing. Charlie didn't seem to care that Joey was gone. He seemed very selfish and inconsiderate.
