Default Another confusing Jack Tripper moment from "Old Folks Home"

Why did Jack have a old man he never met sleep in his bed?

Why did Jack sleep in the bed with him??

He didn't sleep with Chrissy's father when he used his bed so why someone he didn't know/

I agree, I always wondered that myself. Not for nothing, but not only was the old man a stranger, he looked nasty. I'm sure he smelled like cigars as well. Jack sleeping with an old man was way out of character for Jack Tripper. I would have been uneasy with an old man stranger in my house period, but he would have been on that sofa.

Jack was so damm submissive to let other men come in his place and dictate what they were going to do LOL

One thing I always wondered in this ep was why couldn't Leo find senior housing? He mentioned earlier that he found plenty of apartments, but he couldn't afford any that he found. Every community should have senior housing, and he should have applied for that

That whole episode was pretty strange to say the least. I'm guessing Jack had to be in the same bed with Leo to set up the fight that they had. Then Leo had to hang around in order to set up Jack kicking his date out to stick up for Leo. All I have to say is if some old dude was smoking in my bed and started a fire in my bedroom he'd be out on his ass!

Every knows in REALITY why the actor John was in the bed, but we are just discussing the character and the episode as to why the Jack Tripper character didn't sleep on the couch when he slept on it when Chrissy's father was sleeping in his bed

Maybe Jack was afraid the girls would guilt him into letting Leo sleep in his bed so then rather than deal with them, he went ahead and let Leo proceed. Psychologically speaking, Jack was probably afraid of women and that's why he dated so many women and was always lying to them and to the girls.

On a lighter note, it simply is funnier when an old man shares a bed with Jack.

Leo: Do you think 75 is old?

Jack: No 75 is not old

Leo: Well then you are stupid because it is old

Jack: Who are you calling stupid?

LMAO
