Amy Poehler and Will Arnett Separating After 9 Years of Marriage

Amy Poehler and Will Arnett are separating after nine years of marriage, Us Weekly reports.

Poehler, 40, and Arnett, 42, married in August 2003. They are parents to Archie, 3, and Abel, 2.

They shared the screen in several film and TV projects including Poehler's series, "Parks and Recreation", Arnett's former sitcom, "Arrested Development", and on the big screen, Blades of Glory and Horton Hears a Who!.

This was the first marriage for Poehler. Arnett was previously married to Penelope Ann Miller for one year from 1994-1995.

Both sitcom stars are nominated for Emmys. Poelher grabbed two nods, for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series each for Parks.

Arnett, who currently stars on "Up All Night", is nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance on "30 Rock" as Jack's arch-nemesis Devon Banks.

I hope that they come to a reconciliation. There is no reason why this could not happen unless one of the partners cheated on the other.

They have two young children (boys) under three years old. They have been married nine years. My question is what could have happened between the conception of their youngest child, less than two years ago and the breakup of the marriage. Especially since Arnett did a guest role on Parks like two years ago.

Both also on a fairly even career path. Poehler is on an NBC show that is a cult classic which will probably be cancelled by the end of the year (with me a campaign official this Spring on the 'net that this show goes another year) with Arnett on another NBC show which is doing about the same (low) ratings.

I feel for the children. They need their birth parents together. Also, Amy and Will look good together. Try to make up, go through counseling. Don't just say screw it, let's get divorced. Unless one of the parties cheated on the other, then all bets are off.
