There's a musical as well and as dumb as it sounds, it might be worth seeing. This movie however... Nothing will ever top the original. At least this is a sequel and not a remake, although I fear that it's not too far off in the distant future. I might even rent this just for the heck of it.

Not surprised it is going straight to video. The original is a classic that could never be topped...

You'll shoot your eye out... on purpose.
Seriously, who the hell greenlights this crap? More importantly, who watches it? |

OHHHHH FUDDDGGGEEE!!!
Except that the word isn't "Fudge", it's the queen mother of dirty words and some people will say that if they see this direct-to-DVD film! |

There have already been sequels (at least as far as continuing the adventures of Ralph and his family)- It Runs in the Family(aka My Summer Story), and Ollie Hopnoodle's Haven of Bliss. And Jean Shepherd has been telling the adventures of Ralphie on screen(for TV) before there was 'A Christmas Story'- first in 1976- The Phantom of the Open Hearth, and The Great American Fourth of July and Other Disasters(with Matt Dillon as Ralph)
