Matt Laurer doesn't take a pay cut like Jay leno did to keep most of the staff on board reported on Page Six of the post. The ratings for the Today show has fell below GMA again after the boost from the Olympics

Matt Lauer is okay, but IMO, he does not deserve all the money that he's making. I admire Jay Leno for taking a pay cut to keep his staff. That's very admirable. I mean, these stars make so much money anyway, you'd think they'd want to help out people that don't have the same kind of advantages. Those people make the shows what they are, even if it's behind the scenes.

Exactly, the cameraman, the TD, the Floor Director, The Audio person, the Lightining person, and all the people in the control room

But I think they mean the behind the scene staff not the people on air

Matt Lauer is one of the most annoying people on television. Because of him, I switched to Good Morning America.
