Default Brieannas or ThomasE, did yall watch the show "Between Brothers" in 1997

I caught this on TV One this morning with Robert from Cosby show, dwayne wayne from ADW, Tommy Davidson, and the guy who wad Flex friend on One on One

The ep I was watching this morning was when the weather guy told the receptionist to give him all his phone messages and then she then interrupted his weather report on live tv to let him know he had a phone call

I don't get a chance to watch this because I was in college and then once I graduated college I was never in the house that first year.

I have only watched like half an episode. I didn't care for it when it came out, so I never seen an whole episode. I think at the time the only thing that I was watching on FOX was Living Single and Martin, and when those two shows went off I changed the channel LOL

I see that it came on FOX right after Living Single but i just remembered that at that time I was only recording Living single to watch it later so I never saw Between Brothers. Actually I don't think I was recording Living Single that much in its last season

I think that FOX was trying to hard because it was Living Singles last season and Martin was already gone. They were just grasping for straws to keep the black audience. They should have had at least one female cast member. All male cast sitcoms doesn't work LOL

He/She is Spamming.

Back to the topic...Was the woman in a lot of scenes or did she have just one or two lines? I think that Between Brothers was on the wrong station. Fox had it in their "Black" lineup, and at the time there were only 2 "Black" shows on that station. The show should have been on UPN when it was the only predominantly "Black" station.

BUT it was a bad show LOL

it was said that the receptionist who gave him his message on the air had a bigger role on the show once it moved to UPN

well don't act like you don't know the reason. It didn't do well on UPN because it was a professional black show. All 4 guys had professional jobs and didn't not fall into the hip hop category. They all spoke well and were normal black men

And it's sad that a BLACK SHOW like that can succeed on UPN. Only ghetto black shows succeded on UPN like

The Parkers
Moesha
One on One

You have some messed up thinking, I tell you. It wasn't a "Hip hop" show and that is why it didn't do well? What is a Hip Hop show? Shows that plays hip hop music?

The show stunk and that is why it didn't do well, it sucked, it wasn't funny.

None of the men were HIP and spoke slang and the most of the UPN audience couldn't relate to watching professional black men
