I wanna know if the bathroom as appeared in the show.

And if the answer is yes, can someone tell me in wich episodes ???

The bathroom in the first apartment was shown in "The Audition"; the bathroom in the second apartment was shown in "Bonus Bucks." Neither bathroom had a toilet.

Don't forget the bathroom scene "outtake" with Jack Benny from the 1952 CBS special "Stars in the Eye."

The Brady Bunch is well known for not having a toilet. And that was as late as the early '70's. I think the first sit-com to have one was All In The Family, because we could hear it flush, right before Archie came running down the stairs!

I always got a kick out hearing the toilet on All In the Family.

And it seems like Archie is the only one who used it.

I'm sure hearing that toilet was a shock to many viewers for we never heard one before. I sometimes cringe at the sights and language on on Two and a Half men.

I don't get the appeal of Two and a Half Men. I don't even think it's funny. Crude does not equal funny to me. That said, I guess the toilet flush on AITF was crude, too, but it makes me laugh.

I really have to say that the writer's of comedy back then had a much tougher job and still managed to be funny. They could not show a toilet, or hear a flush until the 70's, married couple slept in separate beds, there was no sex mentioned, and as someone said babies must have appeared by magic. I enjoy shows like Two and a Half Men but it is so much easier now to take the cheap way out that writer's back in Lucy's day never had.

You know, I never thought about how big of a challenge that must've been for them to work around. Things we just take for granted...
Good point!!!
