And in all the eps they made reference to him WORKING out of town. So the question is did James go to Alaska or was he working on "Alaska Avenue" in suburban chicago?

I wonder if James dropped 10 page love letters to Flo for each day he was out of town? Because you know, Flo laid that guilt trip on him about that one letter he sent her when he went out of town for a couple of days.

And, who was protecting Michael from all the bad things in the hood with James out of town? Whether James is out of town for a week or a year, bad things can happen regardless.
