Surprized that the complete series has not been released - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

It is shocking how this show got 1 dvd release then just stopped. I am not just talking about official release but I am also talking about a homemade release. You know when the complete series is not on websites like ioffer and sell.com that this show is hard to come by. Almost every show has a homemade release if the official has not been made but that is not the case with this show. If the show is aired at all it is usually seasons 1-4 which occasionally show up on ioffer and sell.com but those remaining seasons are a buried treasure. I don't particularly like copyright infringement but someone needs to make a dvd set of this show since that looks like the only way we will ever see this show again.

Whenever the show's been aired in the last decade, they usually only show Seasons 1-4; after Mackenzie Phillips left, it really did go downhill and the last several seasons are downright unwatchable.

In Canada Comedy Gold has been showing Seasons 1-5.

BTW isn't Sony the one that had the "If you don't sell as much as Seinfeld, you don't get further DVD sets" rule?

I enjoyed all the seasons. Always had a crush on Valerie. Will miss Bonnie Franklin.
