I use my DVR for recording now, so I no longer use VHS for recording current media. I don't know why but I never got into recording things on DVD, even though I had the machine to do it.

I recorded on VHS until I got the DVR around three years ago. If I want to keep something I will then transfer that onto a DVD.

However, I collect movies on VHS and still watch many. There are actually many movies that never made it to DVD/Blu-ray.

I think that player is Jeff Kent, but I maybe wrong.

And yes, I still do use VHS to tape TV programs.

Mine died a few months back but I am going to buy another one! I still have so many video tapes which haven't been converted to disk and I want to keep watching them!

Mine died a while back as well but I dont think they sell just VCR's anymore. Its a DVD/VCR. I think VCR's should never go out of style. And besides if VCR's become the way of BETA, then how am I going to transfer all my tapes to DVD? Thats going to cost me a small fortune.

I have had 2 dvd/vcr machines. They both only lasted about a year each. One of them was a Zenith. Isn't that supposed to be a good one? Can anyone recommend a good dvd/vcr unit?

And I wish they had made it to DVD. The ones that didn't I have to buy on VHS and I usually have to go to Amazon or Ebay, and because they are OOP I end up having to pay a high price. a few years ago I bought "Lifeguard" with Sam Elliot and because it wasn't on DVD at the time I had to pay $38 for the VHS.
