Default Now that I think about it, it was stupid for Norman Fell to ask to return to Three's

Company.

I mean the Ropers apt was already redecorated with someone else living inside of it so where exactly was the Ropers going to live and how would they fit in the show if the Furley family owned the building the Trio lived in?-lol What was the Ropers going to move in with Jack and the girls and have Helen sleep on the couch and Stanely sleep with Jack?

So basically their characters couldn't exist as a regular anymore because of how the writers made Furley's brother the owner of the building. So guest spots was all that was available from that point on.

Furleys brother could of went bankrupt and Roper buys it back at auction.
Or the Cheers way would of been best: Mr. Furley quits and Bart Furley hires Mr. Roper. Mr. Roper gets sick of taking orders from Bart and saves up a few seasons to buy the building back.
They could of had it as the Ropers moving without selling the building in the first place and them hiring Furley.

I still Think Threes a Crowd could of been a success if Roper bought Jacks restaurant building and were included in that series.

That would have only happened if the actor Don Knotts wanted to leave the show.

Exactly, the transition would not have made no sense at all. There was no coming back after they left

Don Knotts was already comfortable in his new role. It would have been horrible if he was suddenly kicked off the show.

What was done was done at that point and there was no turning back. There's no way Norman Fell could have come back to the show.

Yup only if Don Knotts wanted to leave for another show would they have brought back the Ropers.

If TC hadn't have got somebody like Don Knotts I think they might have come back. They didn't even know that Knotts wanted to do another tv show when they originally planned the spinoff. They lucked out. I think if the new landlord was a flop like Lana was they would have returned.

At least they didn't say "Well the Ropers spinoff was a flop, lets give Furley his own show instead" and then have them switch again.
