Question Friends or The Cosby Show?

Which show do you think represented NBC better on Thursdays at 8pm?

I think the Cosby Show.

I think Friends does. I think it will be remember more for being on Thursdays and helped make it Thursday night NBC's night. I just think Friends is more Thursday. But Cosby is just aswell, but not as much, i think at least. But what about Sienfeld, did it help represent Thursday for NBC as well.

I was just talking about 8pm--but yeah, Seinfeld helped Thursday quite a bit I think.

Well, FRIENDS will be remembered more for making thursday nights NBC's night, wheras COSBY SHOW will mostly be remembered for being a hit 80's family show, that aired on NBC, but won't be remembered as much for being a Thursday night stapel.

I think I would have to go with the Cosby Show on this one. I admit, I only liked the show for about 2-3 years, and I watched Friends only on a semi regular basis, and haven't seen any new "Friends" episodes in several years. But it seems to me that Cosby saved NBCs collective behinds when it went on the air, becoming an immediate mega-hit and #1 show, at a time when NBC needed it. I'm not sure Friends could have done the same thing at that particular time. However, that being said, I do think that Friends plays better in reruns today (I sometimes watch it at 7 pm, right before Seinfeld where I live). I can sit through a Friends episode nowadays, but I have a hard time watching Cosby Show reruns.
