"Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara is almost unrecognizable in a photo she posted to her WhoSay account.

"Lucyyyyy Im hooome," wrote the 40-year-old actress, who channels comedic icon Lucille Ball in the photo -- and we have to say the transformation is spot on! Vergara definitely does Ball justice with her costume and managed to perfectly recreate one of the "I Love Lucy" star's signature poses, with her mouth agape in a severe smile.

Vergara's transformation into the TV legend was complete with the help of little details like high-arching eyebrows, a red curly wig and a polka-dot dress that Ball was known to wear on screen.

The recently engaged star is a big fan of the late actress, so much so that she's forgotten that the star passed away in 1989.

During an Emmy Rountable hosted by The Hollywood Reporter in 2010, the actresses were asked who they thought the best living comedian was, and Vergara immediately answered "Lucy!" before realizing that sadly, Ball is no longer with us.

OK....after seeing that picture, there is no way I can sleep tonight without the light on! That is as scary as you-know-what!
