Default Not a Bad Show

When I first heard about this show, I had no intention of watching it. The title Sullivan and Son was terrible and every original sitcom that I've ever seen on TBS stinks. Plus the fact that it takes place in a bar reminds one of Cheers and there's no way it could compare so why bother? A few weeks ago I decided to watch an episode. I found out they rerun the episodes that air at 10 pm at midnight which is perfect since I'm usually sleepy around that time and I'm able to tolerate crappy shows a lot more when I'm tired so I figured I'd give it a shot. To my surprise, the show was much better than I expected. By the 2nd episode I was laughing out loud at least once per episode, now it's up to 2 times an episode so that's a good sign. Let me remind you that this is still a stupid show, but it's stupidly funny. It will never compare to Cheers but how many shows can? The thing I like most about this show is the action never leaves the bar which is great. I hope they continue to have all scenes take place there. Not even Cheers could do that, it would be interesting. Another highlight is seeing the dad from the Wonder Years (Dan Lauria) and Bill Murray's brother who is an underrated actor. I understand that one of the producers is the guy who played the kid who wanted a red rider BB gun for Christmas in "A Christmas Story". Another plus.

As long as this show airs on Thursdays/Early Fridays at midnight, I'm watching it.

They sang love songs to each other in the last episode. They just keep getting creepier and creepier.
