Default I cannot be the only who saw chemistry between..

Jack and Chrissy on the show, am I? I see after reading several threads that there are an awful lot of Jack/Janet fans. I never saw any romantic chemistry between the two of them. I did however see sparks between Jack and Chrissy. There are at least two or three episodes in the first season where it is hinted at. I always liked them together and if they hadn't went way too far with turning Chrissy into a dumb blond, Jack and Chrissy could have had a very sweet, slow building romance. I know a lot of folks here don't care for Suzanne but the early "Chrissy" episodes are my favorite, she was cute and sweet (nieve) at the time. Too bad what went on behind the scenes and too bad they wrote her (Suzanne's) character as a complete idiot by the time she left. The show was never the same without Chrissy/Suzanne for me.

Yea I agree with just about everything you say. I never saw anything between Jack & Janet. There was something between Jack & Chrissy during the early years though and it was more than just lust. lol By the time Chrissy left they had turned her into practically a child. I hated that and I didn't find that sexy at all. Early Chrissy...wow though. I think in the end it was better though. I think TC worked best when they were all just friends. They were like a family and I don't think I would have liked any of them to get paired off.

thing I think Janet actually said it herself when she spoke to Teri. If 1/3' of the three of us had some going on with another third of the three of us...it could get sticky for the other third of the three of us....or something like that. I wish I could remember the exact quote. So Janet agrees with me.

I am so glad that someone can see what I see! I thought I was watching a different show then everyone else I always feel a brother/sister vibe with Jack and Janet, no romance.

I agree with what you say about Chrissy what they did to her is a real shame. In the begining, she was simply innocent and sweet by the end of her run she was obnoxious with that snorting laugh they wrote in for her.I agree also, at the start Chrissy/Suzanne was very pretty/sexy and natural but at the end..well again it's just a shame.

I can see what you mean about them all remaining "just friends." I mean Friends Ross and Rachel became insufferable for me because they dragged out their on/off romance for so long (10 years!) On the other hand, I would have liked to see Jack and Chrissy at least have a kiss

Ha ha Well, there we go then, if Janet said it then it is so!

Is that the episode where Terri falls in love with Jack because he reminds her of an old boyfriend (of hers?)

No it was the episode when Teri first moved in and Larry told her that Jack had been dumped by a girlfriend and she should try to be extra nice to him. I had forgotten about what Janet said until now.

That's what I always thought. they were like brother and sister. Of course there was love there but not that kind of love. I never saw either one get jealous when the other went out on a date....at least a normal date...not with someone who everyone knew was bad news.

Chrissy in the beginning was sweet and a little naive. Her logic would make you scratch your head sometimes but she wasn't an idiot. The way they wrote her in the later years, I don't know how she could be a good secretary. She could barely function.

I saw the chemistry too between Jack and Chrissy the first 2 seasons. I thought it was just me.

Thank you!!

I just watched the first two episodes of the show and you can clearly see Jack and Chrissy are mutually attracted to one another. Janet has to tell Chrissy to "be careful" and she says she doesn't think Jack moving in with them is a good idea because she is worried Chrissy won't be able to resist Jack. They both (Janet and Chrissy) seem to think he is cute in the begining but it's clearly Chrissy that Jack is taken with. I wish they would have explored a Jack/Chrissy romance just a little more.

It was absolutely just lust with Jack and Chrissy. He had a thing for her early on, but it seemed to eventually go away. I don't buy that it was anything more than that. After awhile it was more like a father looking after a child.

Nothing about a relationship between them is exciting or entertaining to me. Maybe that's my thing. It would have been the typical..well, she's the hot blonde so let's make her Jack's leading lady instead of Janet. And I think that's very much why it was written that way. In the British original Jack was always flirting with Janet. The majority of the storylines they gave Chrissy in America were given to Janet in England (see: Alone Together). Kind of infuriates me that they switched it up that way. But the chemistry between Jack and Janet is astounding even without those storylines. I feel sorry for people who don't see it that way because it's quite wonderful, but to each their own.

It makes sense that you would see things as you say because you are a Jack and Janet fan. You wanted them together romantically am I right? To each their own but I didn't feel any "astounding" chemistry between Jack and Janet at any point during the series. They had them go out on a date in one episode and they couldn't even kiss. Again, I see Jack/Janet as a brother/sister.

As for Chrissy, her character became undeniably, ridiculously dumb. I thin.k the way Jack and Janet treated her in later seasons was demeaning at best. In the beginning though, there were sparks between Jack and Chrissy. I'm not debating if those sparks were simply lust or not, just saying I liked the idea of Jack and Chrissy and I liked Chrissy, thought she was cute (at the start of the show that is.)

Yes there is and it's only in season 1. After season 1 it kind of fades away and Janet always did a good job of interfering because she saw the chemistry too

Ha ha! Yes, I notice that Janet kind of got between them (remember the episode where she "Janet" spends the night at Mrs. Roper's? She is so afraid something will happen between Jack and Chrissy. ) I kinda wish it had, at least they could have teased it a bit longer and yes, I did notice that after the first season the attraction was never brought up again. I would have liked a little kissy with Chrissy for Jack..okay that was really bad ha ha!

Such a shame they turned her into such a ditz (with that God-awful snort!) She just wasn't the same. At the start she was just innocent and kind of sweet and charming. The writers went way too far with the "dumb blond" angle didn't they?
