he was not funny at all. Sitting here watching this show and I can't believe why so many people are laughing in the audience. Maybe it's a 1971 thing

I wonder would the people in 1971 feel the same way I do if they got a early look at Kevin Hart in 2012???

Don't know how this show lasted 4 years on NBC. Oh I know why, "No Cable TV"

I thought The Flip Wilson Show was a groundbreaker in TV since he was the first African-American comedian to headline his own variety show and it was a pretty funny show. His characters of Geraldine and the Reverend Leroy contributed to the mayhem and the many guest stars that appeared on the show were also an outstanding asset.

But in the third season, CBS debuted The Waltons opposite Flip and the family drama became a big hit that sent the show's ratings flopping. But still, a four year run is still a good run for a variety show.

I always had trouble watching a man who acts like a woman. But maybe since he was one of the first black comedians in 1971 to be on TV that's why he was such a hit. I have so many comedians to compare him to in 2012 and he just doesn't seem funny to me. I really believe he is Kevin hart's Father
