Default Question for those who don't have DVR and watch their favorite shows on DVD and on TV

Have you ever been watching a show on TV and since you watch it so much on DVD you are actually trying to rewind a certain scene and then realize you can't because you are not watching the DVD?

That happened the other night with Three's Company on Antenna TV

Get a DVR; then that won't be a problem anymore. You know you want one, Sol!

I have had the experience of watching a program "live" and then going to the remote to "fast forward" thru the commercial when I remember it's not on DVD!
DVR's are useless to me, they are only good for temporary recordings that you don't care to have for the future. I only use DVD recorders, there when you make a recording on DVD you have that show for the rest of your days, not just for 2 or 3 months. If I used a DVR for shows I recorded 20 years ago, I would not have those shows now.

Before we got the DVR if i waas watching one show and taping another it would be on vhs, or any show that we weren't home for would be taped to vhs. Dont use the VHS anymore at all except to transfer my wrestling collection from vhs to dvd. Everything now that we tape to watch if we are watching one show and taping another or not home is dvr'd watched then erased. If its a program i'm keeping, its dvr'd then put on dvd while we watch it. I have never used the dvd recorder to just record something if we were watching something else or not home , then watch it and erase.

Now i don't think i could watch tv without having a dvr
