I'm surprised James and Florida didn't have a issue with Thelma having so many - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

dudes calling her for a date. In the Encyclopedia episode when the Evans phone was out of service and Willona was taking messages, she came over and told Thelma that 4 guys asked her out on a date.

So I figured as parents that James and Florida would not like the idea of Thelma dealing with so many guys-lol

James had a issue with Thelma dating someone named donald he never met but was cool with her going out with 4 different guys.

James never had a problem with his daughter, Thelma dating dozens of men and boys because he was sure that because of the way she was raised, she would never ever have sex with any man unless she and he were in a long-term EXCLUSIVE relationship. Her dates were all for companionship and generally good fun.

Most fathers don't want to hear that their teenage daughter is going out with 4 different guys or calling the house

James trusted Thelma, he knew she wasn't out sleeping around. She was just going out on dates, it's not like she had 5 different boyfriends all at the same time.

When? When JJ was tested for VD? Wasn't it also in season 3 when Micheal was taking phone messages from all of the girls that JJ was dating when JJ was out of town?

Ok well maybe it was another writer's goof because in the ep...Loss of Confidence" he revealed that most of the girls he goes out with are ugly

Hey, I can tell you from personal experience; ugly girls need love too and I have had plenty of passionate, grateful ugly girls that always tried harder than their easier to look at counterparts.
