did nothing. Ten years ago when he turned 80 they celebrated his birthday by airing a marathon of his shows.
So that's 2012 for you, new silly sh*t like Soul Man and no celebration for the MAN......Norman Lear. Guess the person in charge of Programming at TV land in 2012 was not around in 2002. Oh well, |

TV Land should be ashamed of themselves. Norman Lear is the sitcom KING!

TV Land seems like they still give one reason to tune it each season. Like they remove Three's Company but add the Cosby Show. If the Cosby show wasn't added I would have had no reason to turn to the channel |

Since Three's Company is leaving. I have no reason to watch it.
I watch The Cosby Show on Centric (or is it TV one) way too much. And, I used to watch it on Nick at Nite as a kid. I've probably seen every episode 10x over. So...Yea. Now with 3's gone from TV Land. I don't have anything to watch on Sunday and Monday mornings. Since The Hub screwed with their schedule too and took off Happy Days and L&S. TV Land is crap. Antenna TV shows Norman's stuff all the time. But, a marathon would have totally rocked. |

I know they showed a Sanford and Son episode during the marathon, don't remember Sanford Arms. I also would like to know why they celebrated his birthday in August if it was in July.

I think that must have been when I caught those episodes of Gloria. The only few I've ever seen. I was like 14-15 at the time.
All In The Family has had so many better spinoffs. That's all I can say about that. |

Wow! Has it really been 10 years! I remember staying up all night to watch the marathon. Next day I had to explain to all my friends why I was so tired, "I stayed up watching Grady"

I was only 11 at the time but I do remember reading the guide that day and this is the order of what they showed: All in the Family, The Jeffersons, Good Times, Sanford and Son, Maude, Grady, Mary Hartman Mary Hartman, Fernwood 2 Night, Forever Fernwood, and Sunday Dinner.
I have all the seasons of the Cosby Show on DVD so I'm sure their much better than whatever TV Land is airing because they edit their shows so bad. |

You left out Gloria. And for some reason I don't remember the Jeffersons being apart of the marathon. In regards to TV Land, the channel stops me from getting up going to my cabinet and taking out the DVD and putting it in and selecting a menu and choosing a episode. You see TV Land does all that for me
