It involved salvaging a plane. I remember the music, some kind of piano/synth, reverberating as they showed the footage of the plane underwater. I think the case was aired sometime after 1995 or 1996, possibly in 1998.

Yes, I remember scuba divers.....not sure the details or actual case.....no body was found...was it yet another dive looking for one of the missing Avenger planes off the east coast of FL? I might have that one mixed up with another show(of many) about the Bermuda Triangle.
Seems like they might have been looking for a missing pilot but there was no body found on the plane..........but I remember them in the plane looking for items that might prove it was the plane they were searching for? sorry, not much help from here. |

If I'm not mistaken OP, the case you're referring to is that of the missing Flight 19. I believe that they were trying to excavate the plane's remains in order to search for a serial number that they could possibly cross-check against military records. The UM website should have a more comprehensive run down on the case.
