The Today Show is Getting a New Set

The Today Show is getting a new Studio and a Set Makeover, All will be revealed when they rerun form London next week after The Olympics.

A New Set for Today Show?

While “Today” is away in London, it appears the show is getting a new set back in New York. Newscast Studio has a picture of streetside Studio 1A with its windows blacked out and wrapped with a sign that reads, “A new way to look at Today.”

The last major set redesign occurred in Sept. 2006, when Meredith Vieira joined the show.

‘Today’ blacks out Studio 1A windows

While the “Today Show” is across the pond at the Olympics, Studio 1A is a bit wrapped up.
The windows have been blacked out with a big advertisement promoting “A new way to look at Today.”
This may mean a new set is in the works at the “Today Show.”
In one photo, a ladder can be seen working in the studio. In another, the monitors facing the outside, behind the windows, have all been removed. Change appears to be coming to 1A.

The current set has been in use since 2006, when major upgrades were undertaken by NBC. Included in the upgrades was the removal of an overlook from the second floor into the main studio. A video tour is below of the 2006 upgrades.


The Today Show does need a New Studio and Set Makeover. The studio/Set that they had for the last Six Years was really starting to show it age over the last year in a half and lt was looking old with cracks in it almost! It so very 2005/2006ish now! Time for a new set as I said a few times over the last few months! Can't wait to see the new Studio when they get back! time for a Modern Update and move Into 2012 and not Stay in 2005/2006. They should be updating the studio with a set makeover every 3-4 years as they age pretty quickly.

That my one of my Top 3 favorite thing about watching The Today Show... Natalie!! She is probably the sexiest Anchor at NBC I think. She look Great in London the last couple weeks, Even if she was only wearing a Two-Piece I would still watch lol
