Default So why did Florence and the Willises go to Hawaii but not........

Lionel and Jenny and Jessica?

Wasn't they part of the family too? It was always weird how Lionel and Jenny never was given fair screen time.

They probably couldn't get time off work? Didn't George and everyone go at the last minute? It wasn't a planned vacation, was it?

Whatever, Florence shouldn't have had her A$$ there if the writers couldn't think of a way to have Lionel and Jenny there. Don't kids come before maids?

^At that point of the series, Florence was a breakout character--a drawing card to the show. Lionel and Jenny weren't.....but I see your point, logically, George and Weezy would have wanted their kids to go with them.

I watched it today and didn't realize it until the Jeffersons returned home and Lionel said....."I wish you could have taken me with you

I wonder, even though their characters were not part of the plot, if Mike Evans and Berlinda Tolbert were treated with a trip to Hawaii with the rest of the cast.

Makes no sense that their kids had less screen time than Mr. Bentley and Ralph

Well the willises and Jeffersons didn't go together. They flew on separate planes and ended up running into each other. So Lionel and Jenny could have done the same and all met up in hawaii

But Lionel and Jenny worked so they couldn't just take off at the drop of a hat. Also what grandparent wants to take their grandkids on vacation with them especially to Hawaii? LOL Also Florence trip was a gift wasn't it? So it's not like she tagged along.

No I explained that they could have planned a trip to Hawaii also like Tom and Helen and met up with them in hawaii like Tom and Helen. So they wouldn't have been on the same plane
