Default Carol, Carol, Carol...

She said, and I quote, to Marcia:

"With six kids, a house, a husband and a dog and you wonder why I don't play golf anymore?"

Yeah, okay. She doesn't work outside the home, she's got Alice who does almost if not all the housework for her, I mean she's got it pretty good. I realize raising 6 children has got to be stressful but like I said she's got plenty of help at home thanks to Alice and her husband's got a good job so she doesn't have to get a job and pitch in with finances if she doesn't want to. Sounds like she should take a minute and be thankful.

I think this was from Season 1's "Vote for Brady". Oddly enough by Season 4's "Greg's Triangle", Carol forgot to play golf so completely that she had to learn how to play all over again and ruined one of Mike's golf clubs in the process!

Hahaha, that's funny! I knew it was the episode with Greg and Marcia competing for student body but I didn't want to go into too much detail because I didn't want to ramble too much!

I do not think she was making this statement as a complaint, rather just wondering why Marcia would think she would have the time for it. She was devoted to her family. Six kids are a handful, despite not having to work and having a maid. Carol helped with the cooking and kitchen work, but I do not remember seeing her cleaning.

After all the kids moved out and Alice married Sam, Carol became a real estate agent.

It doesn't seem to have been a complaint, just a statement that she didn't have time for golf. Just kind of like wondering why Marsha would think she had spare time for it. Although she wasn't working and Alice did most of the cooking and it appeared that Alice did all of the cleaning, so maybe when the kids were in school she could have played golf.
