Default Brieanna, the lady at the unemployment office was RUDE!!!-LOL

The actress who starred on 227 played the unemployment claims officer and she did a good job in acting nasty and looking down on Whitley

She also said...I GOT A JOB to say that anyone who is unemployed is beneath her. That lady was programmed to view unemployed people in a negative way and the actress did a good job.

I told you that in this society if you are unemployed it's your fault and something must be wrong with you. This episode did a good job of showing that

LOL I think she had that lady from Good Times beat LOL. But you have to admit that when Whitley first walked in the unemployment office she started off on the wrong foot. She just skipped a whole line of people and wanted service LOL

That's because she felt she had to separate herself from all the other unemployed people because people look down on you when you have no job. So she was trying to come in and show that she is not your typical unemployed person

That was just Whitley's personality, she always thought that she was better than others. Who goes to the unemployment office in their Mink?

I don't like being around other unemployed people because I get put in a group which is why I never ever went to a job fair. No way in hell would I be standing in line on the news to get in a building to hear NOTHING

I think that is just your own insecurities, If you're unemployed that doesn't always mean that it is your fault that you're unemployed. People are fired or laid off every day for reasons that aren't their fault.

Job Fairs I felt was always for people who don't know how to look for a job.

Nope, Job fairs are great to go to because you have a lot of Businesses in one location and you have a better chance of talking to HR face to face, some do interviews on the spot. There have been people who were hired on the spot at job fairs. My aunt was laid off from DISD last year, she went to a job fair that another district was having and she walked out with offers.

Don't poo-poo on the job fairs LOL

The way my finances are right now with higher rent and lower cash flow each month, the only time I will be seen outside with a suit on traveling is if I have a interview LOL

I'm not spending money to go to a job fair LOL

With my new strategy in place it's no way I can still be unemployed 4 weeks from now.

Exactly! Whitley deserved to be checked. There was a major contrast between Whitley's personality and the no nonsense city worker. I thought that worked well and sparked some drama.

Whitley: Have you no pity? Have you no heart?
Claims Officer #5: No but I do have a job!

That was cruel but funny as well.

I disagree tom, that city worker was already prepared to be nasty

Yeah Whitley needed to be knocked down a peg. She approached Claims Officer Number 5 the wrong way, she didn't skip one person she skipped the whole line LOL

In 1992 I would have agreed with your post but in 2012 I understand why Whitley did what she did when entering the unemployment office
