10 people shot in North St.Louis last night, 3 others the night before and 3 more on Friday night. They just drive up and down the streets picking people off. I saw the Mayor on tv a couple of months ago saying he couldn't figure out why people are leaving the city in droves and nobody wants to bring their business here. He must be smart,he's the Mayor.

I had to chuckle when they interviewed the chief of police about why there are so many shootings. He said, " Most of the elder gang leaders are in jail, so the younger ones are unsupervised "

You should see Detroit's numbers. They don't even talk to their Mayor about what's going on in that city anymore.

It's sad! I live in a relatively small city, and our numbers of murder and random violence have skyrocketed this year.

No one is truly safe anywhere anymore.

I live in a rather small area, too, in FL where not alot of violent crime goes on, certainly not alot of drive by shootings, but a few months ago, a mother shot and killed her 4 kids then herself, just about 2 miles from my house. Even a friend of mine who lives near Boston heard about it up there!!!

We sure live in a complicated world. It does seem to be getting worse. I could not live in a big city like Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Detroit. Where I live we have crime and what not, but NOTHING like those big cities do. I think our lives our getting too comlicated anymore. We all need to slow down and take a good look at whats important in our lives (morals, values, family and friends). Life these days seems like a big rat race.
