Drool First Post: Anyone like this show?

I hate to start a thread by asking a stupid question, but I had to start somewhere, since there are no relevant news articles I can use.

Judging by the number of pictures posted in the gallery, the answer should be far too obvious.

I watch a lot of Disney Channel, and this show isn't too bad. The only thing that gets old for me very quickly is Dez's over-the-toppness. LOL! I like the character and all, but if they could just take it down a notch or two with his character...
The songs are catchy and maybe it's because I have Disney Channel on all the time, but they get stuck in my head all the time!!

I like the show too and I agree about Dez being way over the top at times. I also find the show a bit too silly at times. But it's a fun show to watch and I, too watch a lot of Disney Channel so I'm sure I've seen every episode at least once. Tish is hilarious and Ally is really cute. And of course Austin is adorable. I love Tish and her "Guess who got a job at _____?" And then seeing how long her job lasts! I bet her resume is a mile long!

I like Ally's shyness and awkwardness lol...and her dancing...lol!!! Oh, and her cloud watching club!!!
Did you know that Trish (Raini Rodriguez) is Rico Rodriguez's (Manny from Modern Family) sister? They are both very talented.

Did anyone notice Trish almost always has the exact same pose whenever she announces her new job?

You're right about Dez, and his schtick is a cliche. But believe it or not, Calum Worthy's actually a fairly normal guy in real life, and quite funny as well.

How many stores are there in that mall? Love the costumes/work uniforms though!

I can't believe I haven't commented on this thread yet. I LOVE this show! By far, "Austin & Ally" is one of my favorite Disney sitcoms on right now (actually, one of my favorite current shows period.)
I particularly enjoy the music of the show but there are also great elements to the friendships on the show- between Ally and Trish, Dez and Austin and certainly Austin and Ally!
It's a sweet, fun series that doesn't seem to rely on bodily function humor as much as the other series seem to. (Not that I mind some of that kind of humor at times, but it honestly does get kinda old after a while- and sometimes really not all that funny either.)
Of course, I'd rather have that kind of humor than the sexually perverted humor that some network shows have, so... it's a good tradeoff. In any case, this is a good series and one of my favorites to catch on Disney.
Oh yeah- and I really like the theme song too.

It's nice to see another Austin and Alley fan on this board and I completely agree with you about the bodily function humor. It really does get old.

In a shameless display of bragging, I wrote an Austin and Alley story on fanfic.net and I'd love if people would read it and post a comment (even an anonymous one if you don't want to create an account). I'm actually thinking about writing another story as well, but it would probably be a lot shorter than this one....

Okay- I read it- nice job! For the most part, it was very true to the series and I could see it all happening on the show.
