Default Will the Olympics help the "Today Show" get back on top in the ratings game???

There was a article in the recent issue of TV guide saying that the Olympics has always been a boost for the Today show and that boost may help the new cohost Savannah Guthrie with fans.

Matt and Savannah will be on from 7am to 10am during the Olympics. We will see what happens

Meredith and Ryan are helping out with TODAY Show Olympics coverage also.

But to answer your question: For the next Two weeks a least YES! TODAY Show always get a Massive Ratings Boost from The Olympics. The last Four Summer Olympics TODAY Show Held a 3 Million Viewers margin(Gap) over GMA during the Two Weeks of the Olympics.

Peoples who usually never or don't watch the Today Show or don't watch any morning shows during any other time of the year usually turn into The Today Show the morning after a Olympics event in primetime (Swimming, Gymnastic etc) To see their Favorite Athlete's and Olympics Highlights on The Today Show. It still won't matter no matter how peoples feel about NBC 'TODAY Show' will still get a hue ratings Boost and especially with this being Phelps Final Olympics!

By the way last Thursday and Friday TODAY Show Beat GMA in the Age 25-54 Demo and they came within 5,000 Viewers of beating GMA on Friday the best since Ann Curry was fired!
