Default Stop screwing with us, Unsolved.

The new post on the front of Unsolved.com is just lame.

"Have you ever heard of a story about family members that committed a murder together? Email us at UMnewstories@gmail.com"

Owner of the website is John Cosgrove. He's also listed as the technical contact. jfc@cmpinc.tv .

Just stop with this fake tease nonsense when you have no plans of creating a new Unsolved Mysteries. No one is impressed.

Oh yeah, that's way lame. And the whole "Have you ever heard of (provocative scenario)" is so Montel Williams.

Especially after Cosgrove flagged the videos at the forbidden site I am less than impressed. Way to care more about money than about the potential of having cases solved. Maybe it was Cosgrove himself (I hope not!) but someone at the company saw fit to remove the vids which I think is majorly uncool.

That's funny. I follow professional bodybuilding extensively and the top champion for years was a bodybuilder named Ronnie Coleman. I would think he is popular enough that at least 1 in 20 board members here knows who he is [bodybuilding is pretty niche]. Anyway, since his last contest in 2007 he has been saying year after year that he plans to compete again and it's just getting stale at this point. For the first couple of years people thought it was possible but I don't think anyone takes him seriously anymore. Teasing fans is something that should be tread on lightly by those doing it as it has the potential to backfire.

I have no interest in UM if Stack isnt there. I tried it with Farina but it doesnt cut it. I'm old school I guess. The new UM was too flashy for my taste. And WTH is Cosgrove's problem and the vids on the forbidden site? Greedy a$s doesnt he know the fact that theyre on there can help catch criminals or perhaps reunite lost loves? Sorry just a vent lol

I also can't stand the Farina eps and refuse to watch them. Not only are they incredibly boring but they ruin the whole appeal of the show for me. No problem about your venting I'm sure most of us agree especially since many of those unsolved cases are not on DVD so we can't buy them anyway. That site is pretty much one of the best ways for those cases to still be solved.

Agreed! It's time for Cosgrove to fish or cut bait. The warmed-over Farina episodes are un-watchable. If I can't see new episodes, I'd rather watch Stack reruns.

The Farina eps wouldn't have been that bad if they wouldn't have used the cheesy metal music and the outdated special effects, although it was good we got a few new updates.

But to block segments from being seen on the forbidden site is ridiculous. They generate a lot of hits and interest on there and a lot of cases are still unsolved. All Cosgrove cares about is the almighty dollar, and his credibility keeps getting worse and worse.

What's hilarious is if you look at John Cosgrove's IMDB, it's not really that great. Mostly Unsolved, his most successful period seems to be the 1990s. Other things he has tried like "Auction Packed" have failed. You would think if anything he would want to get some more money and make some new episodes.

If he doesn't want to do new eps though, fine, let the show die completely, but stop teasing and lying.

I don't understand why they would put stuff like that on their home page if they have no desire to produce new shows. Hell, they should just make a youtube channel (if they want to do it cheaply) and do segments from there.

But what if they were able to get Bill Kurtis to host?

He would be the perfect host for the show.

If you want something like the old UM you'll never be happy...Stack sadly is long gone as everyone knows. Meanwhile many cases aren't solved and there is plenty more out there to easily feed a new series. I would gladly watch if the right host and the right format was done. These victims need someone to shed a spotlight on their cases.

I emailed John Cosgrove today (via the cmpinc.tv email address you mentioned) to address the problem. I haven't yet heard back from him, but I would hope that he will at least rectify the issue.
