Hi Everyone
I recently came across this DVD for a great price so I ordered it. I only ordered it since I love me some UM. My question is, does anyone own this? If so what segmetns are on this DVD? I can't seem to find it! Thanks All PS~ I also ordered the Ghosts DVD since those were my fave segments. Are these exactly like they were when they would air on Lifetime? I really dont want any of that Farina nonsense!

That was a good deal! This is the only First Look-produced set I own. There are some good segments on it: Ives/Henry, Dave Bocks, Charles Morgan, Eric Tamiyasu, the Mary Morris murders. If anything, you'll appreciate it for the video clarity, which is missed out on quite often if you're watching something recorded from television years ago.

Definitely! The Legends DVD also looks interesting to me as well. I think that will be my next investment! It does seem like they left out a few of the best cases on the Bizarre Murders :/

I bought Unsolved Mysteries Bizarre Murders and received it today and it only came with 2 dvds. I'd like to have all 4 if they are out there, but i'm glad at what I got. I also have Stange legends and The Best Of Unsolved Mysteries. I'd like to have whole collection but it's a little to pricy for me. But if anyone out there knows of a volume 2 to Bizarre Murders please let me know, Thankyou......

When they rereleased the DVD sets a few years ago, they only included half of the content of the originals - they never did sets with the other half, that 2 disc Bizarre Murders is all you can get unless you find the earlier edition with 4 discs.

Back in 2006, my boyfriend at the time bought me the Ultimate Unsolved Mysteries Treasure Chest Collection. It contained all the DVD collections plus a few bonus ones. So I have all 4 of the discs to bizarre murders, because It was bought back in 2006, close to the time they came out. I believe my boyfriend paid $150 dollars for the ultimate collection back in 2006 and now I see them on Ebay and amazon for $1500. Its insane. The original 4 discs of Bizarre Murders are on ebay or amazon from people who already own them (some new, some used) for around $45.00-$50.00. Its just because they no longer make them, so obviously people who do own them and want to sell them jack up the price.

It's a shame someone like Shout Factory couldn't grab this show and give it some brand new releases for a decent price. I was really annoyed when I ordered the murder set and only got half the cases.

I ended up just trolling ebay and now have the 4-disc sets of Bizarre Murders, UFO's, Ghosts, and Strange Legends. And then I bought that cheap 'Best Of' set from amazon because...it was cheap. I didn't really care about Miracles or Psychics so I'm happy. The only expensive one was Strange Legends, which seems to be rare. $65 for that one. I think I paid 10-20 a pop for the others, and the amazon set is like $8. Bizarre Murders is the best one, IMO. |

So, just to summarise, Cosgrove Meurer Productions:
a) Won't allow fans to post episodes on the forbidden site b) Won't put episodes on iTunes/Google Play etc for streaming c) Won't release DVDs d) Won't allow for any screening of UM today in any form whatsoever, unless you're lucky enough to catch a random repeat of one of the crappy Farina episodes (which are occasionally shown at 3:00 in the morning or somesuch on one of the digital channels here in Australia).

I'd be among the first to buy the old episodes if they became available, but it's not shocking to me that they don't allow fans to post them online, because they are still actively selling the Farina versions of the very same stories. The show comes on every weekday morning in the U.S. now. I watch it sometimes because it's the only way I can see the show nowadays.

I hardly ever watch any of the Ultimate Collection DVDs to be honest. I mostly watch the originals. I was lucky enough to download them to my mac when someone posted literally 35-40 hours of original uncut UM episodes online before they were deleted for copyright violation of course. Nothing compares to the originals. The DVDs were good for what it was but I would've liked them to have released them by season just like most DVD sets. They are rediculous the way they troll video sharing sites just looking for it. I cant tell you how many others shows are on "that forbidden sight" like Disappeared that have been on there for almost 2 years and they dont get shut down for copyright violations. Its honestly like they hire people to troll the internet looking.
