Default Were the Evans family, Willona and Penny bullying Bookman?

In today's society, if a person keep calling people names such as fat, buffalo butt and the all fat jokes, was that bullying the janitor bookman?

Actually I don't think it was bullying at all. He became their friend and they were happy to see him and showed it by clowning on him

That's what friends do when they get around each other, make fun of one another

Have you forgotten Bookman made fun of the Evans too?

Mostly JJ. Off the top of my head, here are a couple of moments:

When the Evanses were freezing, Michael asked Bookman what to do about heat and bookman replied, "Get a stick and rub it against your brother JJ".

And when JJ brought home a practically dead Christmas Tree, Bookman pretended it was JJ and shook it's branch, saying "Hi JJ, how are you doing?".

Exactly, Bookman wasn't being bullied by anyone. He didn't seem to mind Wilona and the gang goofing on him. In fact, he also insulted everyone including Wilona, JJ, Florida, etc. They were all just teasing.

When Bookman first came on the scene, I don't remember him calling anyone names or referencing anyone in a bad way. I do remember James calling him names, but Bookman didn't do it in return. I do remember Bookman being a jerk to James and threatening to turn him in when he set up that his fix-it shop in the apartment.

I may be wrong, but I think Bookman may have started saying stuff back to the family after James died and he did so because he was retaliating for the names Willona, Michael and JJ called him. Thelma never called him a name, right?

He only calls J.J names but would often poke fun at the Evans family living situation

But didn't he start to call JJ names after James died? Maybe I am wrong, but I thought Bookman would just make that face of his whenever JJ called him a name.

Okay, cool then. You saved me the trouble of having to check on my dvds.

My opinion then remains that Bookman only made fun of JJ because of all the years JJ said crap to Bookman. After a while of having crap dished out to you, eventually one might dish it back. Bookman didn't call Willona names even though she started calling him names since the beginning. I think he showed his respect to her.

No, he always asked for it and they gave it to him.

So to put everything in perspective, Willona and the Evans family started the name calling first towards the Janitor bookman......
