Brad Paisley Eyed For ‘American Idol’ Judge
Could American Idol be going country with its next judge pick? I hear the veteran Fox reality series is seriously considering country star Brad Paisley for one of the vacated chairs on its judging panel. Bringing in a country star as an Idol judge appears logical since the show’s most successful winner to date, Carrie Underwood, is a country singer as are a number of other well-known Idol finalists — including last year’s winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alana. Paisley, who has performed on Idol, has a relationship with both Underwood and McCreery, recording hit Remind me with Underwood and bringing in McCreery to tour with him. Meanwhile, NBC’s The Voice has had success with a country star, Blake Shelton, as a mentor.
Fox is focusing on recruiting a new male judge after closing a deal with Mariah Carey to succeed Jennifer Lopez. Word is that original Idol judge and Carey co-manager Randy Jackson will likely come back, while Fox is also toying with the idea of a four-judge panel that was phased out when Lopez and Steven Tyler were signed two years ago. (Rivals The X Factor and The Voice both have four-person panels.) As for the vacancy on Fox’s other singing reality show, the hosting gig on The X Factor, the name that keeps popping up is Kelly Osbourne. http://www.deadline.com/2012/07/brad...e/#more-306331 |

I think that will be awesome two great singers. I got to admit though my fav part in the last few seasons has been auditions. The talent doesn't seem to be as good as it used to be.

Just because Lady Ga Ga is of no interest to you doesn't mean she isn't to someone else. Now as for American Idol...the show SUCKS. They have pimped out nothing but losers for years now. This years winner: Phillip Philips Last year: Scotty McCreery The year before that: Lee DeWyze Before that: Kris Allen Before that: David Cook American Idol hasn't had a decent winner since Jordan Sparks, and this year the winner should have been Joshua Ledet. But it was between Jessica Sanchez and that hack Phillip Philips. So out of the two, Jessica Sanchez should have been the winner. The show has no credibility. It is so fixed. After Joshua was voted off, it was between Jessica and Phillip. There is NO way that Phillip got all of Joshua's voters after he left. No way. |

I wouldn't go as far as to say it sucks. It's not must see tv like it used to be. But it is still good for laughs and, sometimes the talent is half way decent. Who know's it could be better this year I wish it the best of luck. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's fixed either. I would just say todays youth have incredibly bad tastes in music lol My fav American Idol winner was Carrie Underwood. |

Isn't it against the rules of the board to down a show on it's own board like this?
