Default Amazon MP3 Store VS iTunes Store

I like iTunes for buying indvidual songs but for a full album Amazon kicks iTunes butt. New releases are almost always cheaper. Amazon has deals and sales all the time. I am a sucker for the $5 and $2.99 albums as well. I also like that Amazon MP3 gives random free credits ever now and then too. iTunes albums never seen to go under $8. Just wondering what everyone likes better.

I will have to give the edge to Itunes because that site has never let me down and has any song I;m seeking. When it comes to music Amazon reminds me of the online version of FYE-lol

I miss FYE, ours closed a couple of years ago. I always got good deals there because a lot of what I like was always on clearance.

I wish they would close the FYE down in my neighborhood since it has 2 floors and doesn't have sh^T. lol

I'm supposed to be impressed with two floors when you don't have the DVD's I want?

I prefer Amazon all the way.

I either buy an MP3 single or entire albums on CD.

I just bought L.A. Guns "Cocked and Loaded" but RATT is my favorite band!

If your store doesn't have much I bet it doesn't last much longer. From what I remember, all the DVDs at ours were always list price. Who pays full price for a DVD. That is probbably why our store went under.

Our mall used to have a Music Land, Sam Goody, FYE and Suncoast, none of them are there anymore because nobody is going to pay list price.

I worked next to the store for 3 years and couldn't believe it was still in business. I tried to buy Rhoda season 3 and 4 back in June and they only had season 1.

And don't even get me started on the CD's they never had back in 2002 which is why I;m so glad I don't have to worry about that anymore because of Itunes

That is the beauty of the internet, itunes and amazon digital are never out of stock.

Do you ever buy any TV shows on itunes? I only download the free ones. I don't understand paying $25 for a season of a show on iTunes and not getting a box or disc or anything.

No I wouldn't buy a tv show online because I like to sit back and watch it on my flat screen while eating my favorite snack. That would be too hard with my laptop lol

Call me old-fashioned, but if I'm going to buy music, I'd rather have a CD. With MP3 or AAC (iTunes' native format) files, you're buying inferior product: lossy music. With CD, you get CD resolution AND you can create your own MP3/AAC files for convenience and portability.

I do buy digital music sometimes, but when I do, I prefer lossless (FLAC, for example). Those files are CD quality or better. And you can convert them to MP3 or AAC for your iPod and still have the original, high-res files.

I'm looking forward to the day when iTunes starts offering music in Apple Lossless.

The downside of all my music being on my computer is I can only listen to it when the computer is on-LOL
