Default Who liked "The College Years" better?

I did. Don't get me wrong, I loved the originial series. But I thought that the College Years had better episodes, even though I missed Jessie and Lisa and didn't care much for Alex and that other girl (can't remember her name). The whole story about Kelly's relationship with Professor Lasky and Zack chasing Kelly once again was great. Anyone agree?

I wholeheartedly agree. I thought the high school years were good, but this show was like a fine wine, it got better with age. In the earlier eps, it seems like the producers of this show really didn't have the development of the characters down. It got better in the high school years, but the college years plots and characters were a lot better.

I enjoyed College Years, but for me nothing is better than the original episodes of Saved By The Bell.

I loved the high school years the best, but the college years were good too, I don't know why a lot of people didn't like the college years. I know it wasn't the same without Jessie and Lisa, but it was still good even though I didn't like Alex or Leslie either.

Why were they even on the show, it's not like they had a lot of storylines involving just them. Zack did hit on Leslie when he first got there, but when Kelly came into the picture he forgot about her and went after Kelly again. Alex went out with Slater, but that was it, they didn't even look good as a couple they had no chemistry together.

I liked them both about the same. But I just have to say, the absolute worst move NBC ever made was putting SBTB:CY up against Full House in primetime. I liked both and ended up doing the tape one, watch the other thing (SBTB being the one I taped.) NBC put the final nail in the SBTB coffin with that move.

That's a good point. Saved By The Bell and Full House are both great family shows, and NBC would've done well to slate Saved By The Bell after Full House.

Also, I think danithang had a good point. Alex and Leslie were just fillers in the college years. I do like the series, but I think it would've been better if they had all the high school characters, or at least gave Alex and Leslie a more active plot role.

Slater and Alex were terrible together, I have to agree. Slater and Jessie was probably a more realistic couple. They were always fighting, then they would make up.

Whatever happened to those two kids on the show before Kelly and Slater were on it? Y'know, when Zack, Screech, Lisa were in 8th Grade. I think in the show their names were "Max", and I can't think of the girl's name. What happened to them? Are they doing any shows now?

I agree that the College Years kept on getting better and better after each episode.

It's too bad that they cancelled it.

I liked the College Years better but I guess I'm glad it lasted one year....the series would really drag out the zack/kelly relationship..the college years kept it interesting with just the one year...and the wedding movie at the end.

I preferred the high school years, the college years were good but I began to think the gang wasnt that funny anymore. Plus I really missed Jesse and Lisa.

His real name is Bob Golic, not Mike Golic.
